Camera Analytics for Hospitals and Clinics

Fall detection, bed-exit alerts, reception waiting times, restricted zone monitoring.

In a hospital, falls are the most frequently recurring in-house incident, and their severity often depends not on the fall itself, but on how late help arrives. On a night shift, one nurse looks after dozens of wards — it is impossible to see every room at the same time.

Camera analytics fills this gap: it detects the moment of a fall and immediately sends an alert with the room number to staff. For at-risk patients, it warns before a fall even happens.

What is measured

Fall detection

When a patient falls, staff immediately receive an alert with the room number.

help arrives minutes sooner

Bed exit

When an at-risk patient tries to get out of bed, staff are warned in advance.

the fall is prevented before it happens

Prolonged inactivity

If a patient does not move for an unexpectedly long time, the system issues a warning.

loss of consciousness is noticed in time

Reception waiting

How many people are in the queue, what the average wait is, which hour is the peak.

fewer complaints about queues

Restricted zone access

Medication room, operating block, laboratory — unauthorized entry is logged.

control over medicines and equipment

Emergency entrance

If the ambulance lane is blocked by a car or an object, an alert is sent immediately.

the emergency entrance always stays clear
This is not a medical device.
The system does not make diagnoses, does not assess the patient's condition and does not make medical decisions. It only detects movement and alerts staff — the decision is always made by a medical professional. Installation in wards must be planned in line with patient privacy rules. The system does not identify individuals and does not store facial data — it sees a person as an object. Functions that concern human behavior require prior notification.

Who it is for

Hospitals, private clinics, rehabilitation centers and day hospitals. Especially in departments where staff numbers drop on the night shift and where there are at-risk patients.

How it is set up

Your existing IP cameras are checked, one device is installed on site, a one-week trial runs, and then daily reports and instant notifications begin. Processing happens right on site — footage never leaves the building, and the system keeps running if the internet goes down. More about installation and requirements →

Frequently asked questions

Doesn't a camera in the ward violate privacy?

This is the most important question. Footage does not leave the building and does not go to the cloud — processing takes place on the on-site device. Which zones will have cameras and which will not (toilets, shower areas, etc.) is defined in writing during installation.

How reliable is fall detection?

High, but not 100%. The system is an assistive tool and does not replace staff. During the first week it runs in silent mode and is tuned to the facility so that false alarms are kept to a minimum.

Are patients' images stored?

The system does not recognize faces and does not identify individuals. The retention period and who will have access are agreed during installation.

Frequently asked questions

How does camera-based fall detection work in a hospital?

When a patient falls, the system immediately sends staff an alert with the room number. It also issues a warning when an at-risk patient tries to get out of bed or does not move for an unexpectedly long time.

Is this system a medical device, does it make diagnoses?

No, this is not a medical device. The system does not make diagnoses, does not assess the patient's condition and does not make medical decisions; it only detects movement and alerts staff. The decision is always made by a medical professional.

Doesn't a camera in the ward violate patient privacy?

Footage does not leave the building and does not go to the cloud; processing is done on the on-site device. The system does not recognize faces or identify individuals. Zones without cameras, the retention period and access rights are agreed in writing during installation.

What else does camera analytics measure for a clinic?

It shows the number of people in the reception queue, the average waiting time and peak hours. It also logs unauthorized entry into restricted zones such as the medication room and operating block, as well as blocking of the ambulance lane.
