Camera Analytics for Stores

Customer counting, conversion rate, heat map, empty shelf and checkout queue alerts.

The question most often asked in a store is: why were sales low today? The POS software only shows those who bought — it does not see those who came in and left without buying anything. Camera analytics fills exactly that gap: how many people came in, where they stopped, when they got stuck in a queue and why they walked out.

The system is built on top of your existing IP cameras. New equipment is usually not needed, and footage does not leave the premises.

What is measured on the sales floor

Customer counting

How many people came through the entrance, which hour is busiest, which day of the week is weakest — all collected day by day.

advertising results become visible in numbers

Conversion rate

The number of visitors is matched against the number of receipts: 100 people came in, 23 bought. Why didn't the other 77 buy?

the real sales problem comes to light

Heat map

Which shelf customers stop at, which corner nobody visits — movement is shown as a map.

shelf layout based on data, not guesswork

Empty shelf alert

When a shelf empties, a staff member is notified — it is restocked before a customer sees it empty.

lost sales are prevented

Display case monitoring

The number of products in the display case is tracked; when an item is taken, an alert is sent immediately.

expensive goods do not go unnoticed

Night security

When any movement is detected during the hours the store is closed, an instant alert is sent.

the guard doesn't have to watch every screen

The checkout zone separately

The checkout is the most expensive spot in the store — that is exactly where sales are lost. A long queue forces customers to abandon their basket and leave, and unscanned goods are a direct checkout loss.

Queue alert

When the queue exceeds five people, the duty staff member is notified: "open a second checkout".

customers don't walk away from the queue

Waiting time measurement

How many minutes the average wait is, at what hour the peak occurs — the checkout schedule is built around this.

shift schedules are built on data

Unscanned items

Items passed through the checkout without being scanned are detected and matched against the receipt.

checkout losses are prevented

Unattended checkout

If there is a queue but no staff member behind the checkout, an alert is issued.

customers are not left standing at an empty checkout
Why is the conversion rate the most valuable metric?
You spend money on advertising, people come to the store — but sales don't grow. The conversion rate shows where the problem is: if people don't come, it's an advertising problem; if they come but don't buy, it's a price, assortment, queue or service problem. Without knowing this difference, it is impossible to spend the budget in the right place.

Who it is for

Supermarkets, clothing and electronics stores, pharmacy chains and multi-branch retail companies. The value grows as the number of branches grows — because which branch is underperforming, and why, can be compared in numbers.

How it is set up

Your existing IP cameras are checked, one device is installed on site, a one-week trial runs, and then daily reports and instant notifications begin. Processing happens right on site — footage never leaves the building, and the system keeps running if the internet goes down. More about installation and requirements →

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is customer counting?

When the entrance camera is at the right angle, accuracy is high. In the first week the system is tuned to your entrance — factors such as door width, lighting and two people walking through side by side are taken into account.

Are employees counted too?

Zone and time rules are set up to separate staff entries and exits, so the statistics are not distorted.

Are customers' images stored?

No. The system does not identify individuals and does not store facial data — it sees a person as an object and only measures movement and counts.

Does it connect with our POS software?

The conversion rate requires the number of receipts. This is taken from the POS software via a file or API; if one of our sales systems is in use, the integration comes ready-made.

How many cameras are needed?

One entrance camera is enough to start. During the trial week, usually only customer counting is enabled; other tasks are added once the results are visible.

Let's start with a one-week trial

One camera, one task, one week. You see the results, then you decide. There is no commitment and no payment for the trial.

Frequently asked questions

What does camera analytics measure for a store?

On the sales floor it provides customer counting, a conversion rate that matches visitor numbers against receipts, a heat map, empty shelf and display case monitoring, and night security. In the checkout zone, queues, waiting time, unscanned items and unattended checkouts are tracked separately.

Does it work with our existing cameras, or is new equipment needed?

Yes, the system is built on your existing IP cameras and new equipment is usually not needed. The cameras are checked and one device is installed on site; processing happens right on site, footage does not leave the building and the system keeps running if the internet goes down.

Are customers' faces recognized or their images stored?

No. The system does not identify individuals and does not store facial data — it sees a person as an object and only measures movement and counts. Staff entries and exits are separated with zone and time rules so that customer statistics are not distorted.

How can we start, and does it connect with our POS software?

You start with one entrance camera, one task (usually customer counting) and a one-week trial; there is no commitment or payment for the trial. The number of receipts needed for the conversion rate is taken from the POS software via a file or API.
